Meet the Staff
Debi LaGamba, RPR/CRR
After graduation from Canevin Catholic High School and Duff's Business Institute, I spent the next 11 years working at the Union Railroad, which was a subsidiary of U.S. Steel, in the Transportation Department recording various disciplinary hearings and also acting as a secretary to the Assistant Superintendent. In 1989 I joined the freelance agency
Lana M. Byer and Associates, where I was a freelance court reporter until the year 2000. In 2000, I joined the freelance agency
Wordz R Us, where I was a freelance court reporter until January 2010.
I am now running the show at LaGamba Reporting Services, and would welcome your business!
I am also a certified Registered Professional Reporter (RPR) and a Certified Realtime Reporter (CRR) through the NCRA
(National Court Reporters Association).
In my spare time I love to spend time with my family.
I am married with two children and six grandchildren,
ranging in age from 4 months to 12 years.
They are definitely the light of my life!
I also enjoy traveling with family and friends.
My favorite two places to visit are Las Vegas and Florida!
I make my home in Crafton, PA,
which is a wonderful little town just west of Pittsburgh.
I began working as a Legal Secretary in 1993 and since that time I have worked as a Legal Secretary/Paralegal in personal injury, medical malpractice, asbestos litigation, preparation of contracts for union arbitrations, and other types of litigation.
In 2013 I started working part-time with LaGamba Reporting and since 2014 I have been the Office Manager. I have been on both sides of deposition preparation, as a secretary with the deadlines of scheduling and securing transcripts, and currently with scheduling and preparation of transcripts for our clients.
As a Secretary I was always happy to use LaGamba Reporting because of their immediate response; and because of that, I am very conscious of a quick response. You will not be disappointed with LaGamba Reporting!
After graduating from Southmoreland High School, I attended Robert Morris University for two years, attaining an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Business Management. Thereafter, I attended the Westmoreland County Community College and studied court reporting and medical transcription, attaining an Associate in Applied Science degrees in both of those disciplines. After completing my degree in court reporting, I immediately became employed with Powers & Garrison and remained in their employ for 23 years. In 2010 I joined the wonderful team of court reporters at LaGamba Reporting Services.
After graduating from Duff's Business Institute in 1989, I joined Lana M. Byer and Associates, where I was a freelance court reporter for 15 years. I then continued working as a freelance court reporter with various firms, including Bauer Court Reporting, Marsilio Court Reporting and Snyder Reporting Services through 2014. At that time, I joined LaGamba Reporting Services.

I am a graduate of Taylor Allderdice High School. I spent one year at the University of Pittsburgh, then went on to graduate with an associate's degree in specialized business from
Duff's Business Institute.
I have been a freelance court reporter for over 30 years,
beginning my career at Hayes, Schmitt & Mull Reporting, continuing on to
Lana Byer & Associates, and I'm now happily with LaGamba Reporting.
Aside from being a Registered Professional Court Reporter, I am a wife, mother and grandmother. I am, also, a certified Biblical counselor through Pittsburgh Layman's Bible Institute. I serve with my husband on the FamilyLife Weekend to Remember Pittsburgh Team, and I enjoy worshipping at Macedonia Baptist Church of Pittsburgh. Soli Deo Gloria
After graduating from North Catholic High School and Duff's Business Institute with a degree in specialized business, I started my court reporting career at Sargent's Court Reporting where I gained my first court reporting experiences. After that, I went on to work for a number of court reporting agencies, including Steffan & Stauffer, Wordz R Us, and Pittsburgh Reporting Service, after which I joined LaGamba Reporting Services towards the end of 2017.
I started my working career at sixteen at the Squirrel Hill Giant Eagle, first as a cashier, and then after graduating from Taylor Allderdice High School went full-time at Giant Eagle in the office in Squirrel Hill.
I left Giant Eagle to get married and help run my husband‘s restaurant and bar in Oakland called the DECADE. When we closed the DECADE in 1995 I went to Duff’s Business Institute and earned an associate’s degree in specialized business.
I started my court reporting career immediately after with Nickel Reporting Service, eventually joined Wordz R Us and I’m now working with the wonderful women at LaGamba Reporting Service.
I am divorced but still very close to my ex-husband. I have three children, five stepchildren and 17 grandchildren. I have a large and wonderful family who are very close and I spend as much time as I can with them.
I love to travel, especially to visit family in Florida. I also do some work for KLW out of Philadelphia, but am so proud to call Pittsburgh my home.
I graduated from Burrell High School in 1987. I then went to Central Pennsylvania Business School where I obtained an Associate's degree in Specialized Business for court reporting. I moved to Philadelphia for a few years after graduating business school and worked for two court reporting firms there. In the fall of 1993 I moved back home to Westmoreland County and joined Sturdevant & Kistner in Greensburg. In 1996 I started to work in Pittsburgh working for Golden Triangle Reporters and Wordz R Us before joining the LaGamba Reporting Services family. When I am not working, I enjoy cross stitching and spending time with my Jack Russell, Riley.
I graduated from Duff’s Business Institute with an Associate’s in Specialized Business. Thereafter, I was employed by Powers & Garrison as a freelance reporter, during which time I achieved my RPR and one leg of the Merit exam. After five years with P&G, I became employed with Allegheny County as an official court reporter where I worked for six years.
After becoming a mother, I took some time off to raise and home school my three wonderful children. In 2019, I took my steno machine out of the closet, dusted it off, and started freelancing again with Ament & Ament Reporting. In 2021, I joined the awesome team of reporters at LaGamba Reporting Services.
In my free time, over the past fifteen years, I have taught in the children’s program at our church. I love to vacation at the beach and Disney World.
